Several contenders in the running for former five-star DT Breiden Fehoko

Fehoko was formerly one of the top DTs in recruiting.

It looks like one of the top players on the college football transfer market is getting tons of interest from schools around the nation.

According to Rivals, former five-star recruit and Texas Tech transfer Breiden Fehoko has been contacted by at least 21 FBS teams, including Washington, LSU, Wisconsin, Auburn, and Louisville.

Fehoko told Rivals on Thursday that Arizona, Auburn, BYU, Cal, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, LSU, Louisville, Maryland, Minnesota, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, UCF, Virginia, Washington, Washington State and Wisconsin have all shown interest since getting his release last Wednesday.

Fehoko, a Hawaii native, had played two seasons with the Red Raiders, accumulating 38 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and an interception in that time. However, after two seasons near the bottom in defense — including 128th out of 128 teams in 2016 — it looks like Fehoko is looking for greener pastures.

The former five-star originally picked Texas Tech in an upset over USC and Oklahoma in 2015, but it doesn't appears that those two schools are interested in taking another look at Fehoko at this time.

Fehoko will likely have to sit out the 2017 season, but he should then have two years of eligibility remaining.
