Well it looks like that coordinator swap may be having an effect already.

On late Wednesday, four-star defensive end Aaron Odom (6-foot-3, 250 pounds, Jackson, Miss.) decommitted from Mississippi State, ending what had been an eight-month commitment. Instead, Odom is now committed to Louisville, where he will be joining former Mississippi State defensive coordinator Peter Sirmon.

Odom is rated a four-star by Scout.

Mississippi State had hired Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham a week ago, and the Cards responded by filling their empty position with Sirmon to complete an awkward coordinator swap between the two teams. At least for now, it looks like it is paying off for Louisville in the recruiting department.

Louisville now has 23 commitments as part of their 2017 class.
