Four-star WR Tyjon Lindsey announces commitment date, Top 10 list

In early July, four-star wide receiver and top-50 overall recruit Tyjon Lindsey announced his top five. On Monday, Lindsey took to Twitter once again to reveal that he will be making a verbal commitment on Aug. 22 with the help of Bleacher Report.

The 5-foot-9, 180-pound speedster from Corona, Calif. expanded his list from five schools to ten with this latest announcement, though it is unclear if the five additional programs (Michigan, Auburn, Georgia, Oregon, Tennessee) have much of a chance to land Lindsey's services. At present, Lindsey's front-runner appears to be Urban Meyer and Ohio State, as the Buckeyes currently hold an 82% chance to secure his commitment according to 247's "Crystal Ball" predictions.

Still, there are plenty of heavyweight programs (and head coaches) on Lindsey's list, with Nick Saban, Jim Harbaugh, Brian Kelly and others set to pursue the elite wide receiver prospect to the very end. Ohio State has a number of attractive features in recruiting Lindsey, including the presence of former high school teammate and elite quarterback prospect Tate Martell, but in the recruiting world, nothing is that safe until the prospect signs a letter of intent in February.

Aug. 22 can't arrive quickly enough for Ohio State as the front-runner, but Tyjon Lindsey will let the world know where he plans to attend college in the very near future.
