Kansas is going to pay its coach an insane amount of money for winning certain games

That is pretty insane.

Kansas football is not a program some people might describe as "winning" or "great" or even "good." However, it is still a Power Five school and thus, makes these incentives for David Beaty pretty ridiculous.

Beaty is responsible for breaking the long tradition of losing to Texas, which had gotten to 13 straight losses. The Jayhawks beat the Longhorns 24-21 in overtime this year and now it seems the administration is going to reward Beaty for being mediocre.

So basically, whenever Kansas wins a conference game Beaty will get $100,000. And if Kansas plays more Power Five games outside of the conference schedule he could make more money there as well. When all is said and done, he could potentially make $1.1 million in incentives in a year and if he does that, he's definitely going to be given a better job with a higher salary elsewhere.
