Zion Williamson is the No. 2 player in the country for the class of 2018 and is being courted by all of the top programs. Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky and 15 other schools are trying to sign him to their class, but he gave the most unlikely school an unofficial visit and that was Wofford. Here’s the reason according to ESPN recruiting analyst Jeff Borzello.

The 6’7″ small forward has been dominating competition for the Spartanburg Day School in South Carolina, which is why he’s ranked as the top SF in the class by 247Sports and the top recruit in the state. His top three schools are believed to be Duke, UNC and hometown Clemson with Florida, Arizona, Maryland and UCLA giving him offers among others.
