Another big loss for Clemson's defense.

According to 247Sports, Clemson is set to lose key defensive tackle Scott Pagano to transfer.

Pagano was at his most effective for the Tigers during the 2015 season, as the 295-pound defensive lineman had 51 total tackles in nine starts and 15 total games. Pagano's playing time dwindled a bit during Clemson's 2016 title campaign, but he still recorded 31 total tackles in 12 games.

The news of Pagano's transfer comes after defensive back Adrian Baker announced that he was transferring away from Clemson last week.

247Sports reports that Pagano graduated with a degree in sociology in December, and that he will be eligible as a graduate transfer for the 2017 season. Pagano — a former four-star recruit of the 2013 class — originally picked Clemson over schools like Alabama, LSU, and Florida.
