SEC releases 2016-17 basketball schedule

Basketball season is almost here!

The Southeastern Conference has released its entire list of conference games for the 2016-17 basketball season. The 126-game schedule features some major matchups like a double dose of Florida-Kentucky and old rivalries in Florida-Georgia, Florida-Tennessee and Tennessee-Kentucky.

There will be plenty of teams with a new-look roster —- like Kentucky —- and the league itself will have a nice new look. The SEC will be using AAC referees for games rather than contracting whatever refs happen to be in the region for games. This should lead to some consistent officiating and more bearable games.
