Second basemen gets badly hurt in outfield collision but it’s what happens next that’s stunning

This may help explain why Kentucky is so inconsistent, but entertaining.

University of Kentucky baseball is currently barely hovering above .500 in the SEC with an 11-10 record (27-17 overall). With plays like this, in its game against rival Louisville, it's so easy to see how they're barely surviving.

A fly ball to right-centerfield was nearly lost on a play that could have been avoided had one of the players called their position out. Luckily, another player over-pursued the ball too, but was just too far out of position to make it a three-way collision and instead made the diving catch for an out.

I wonder who, in this scenario, the error would have fell to had the ball not been brought in. Unfortunately for Kentucky, the second basemen took his time getting up on his own, and was clearly hurt on the play.
