Shannon Sharpe brings race into the conversation involving arrest of a former Heisman finalist

Shannon Sharpe suggests Baker Mayfield was treated differently.

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield was arrested Saturday morning in Fayetteville, Arkansas for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and fleeing. Shannon Sharpe, co-host of Fox Sports' Undisputed, suggests Mayfield would've been treated differently had he been black.

Mayfield reportedly sprinted away from a police officer before he was tackled, and he was also "yelling profanities and causing a scene." Sharpe cited several incidents where black people weren't given the benefit of the doubt by police, and it's an intriguing point in regards to Mayfield.

Oklahoma has yet to make a decision on punishment for Mayfield.
