The Raiders earned an NFL record no team should want and still managed to win the game

Here's a record you definitely don't want any parts of.

As far as dubious distinctions go in the NFL, this has to be up there with some of the worst.

The Oakland Raiders, who already lead the league in penalties heading into their matchup with Tampa Bay Sunday, set an NFL record with 23 penalties for 200 yards in the game. And, somehow, they still won—-30-24 in overtime.

By the half, the Raiders were well on their way to the record with 10 penalties for 86 yards. Oakland's 23 total penalties broke a single-game record which stood for 72 years, but they fell just short of the single-game yardage record of 212.

The flags, which were thrown for everything from taunting to pass interference to illegal formation, had little effect on their second half performance, though. Quarterback Derek Carr finished with video game numbers, connecting on 40-of-59 for 513 yards and four touchdowns, including a 41-yard game-winner to Seth Roberts in overtime.
