Auburn is facing quite the quarterback conundrum for the 2016 season.

Of course, the quarterback position was a disaster in 2015. Jeremy Johnson had to be replaced early on by freshman Sean White due to ineffectiveness, but then Johnson re-gained the starting job after White went down with an injury. Johnson did better in his second stint, but not good enough to avoid Malzahn going to a wildcat look with Kerryon Johnson for various points in several games.
Well, things in 2016 could be even more complicated, as a new name joins the group. Quarterback John Franklin III — a former Florida State player — has joined the program after a stint in JUCO. Because of that, Coach Malzahn is in a complicated spot, but he plans to try to give all three equal ground to work on.

That approach is probably best for business, as neither White nor Johnson established themselves as starter quality in the 2015 season. With Franklin now in the mix, Malzahn has to take a measured approach in selecting his next signal caller.
Of course, whoever winds up at quarterback will need some help from the Auburn wide receivers in 2016. Last season, the Auburn wideouts where dreadful in some situations, dropping on point passes in key situations throughout the season. Even if Auburn picks the right quarterback, there has to be someone that is actually catching the ball for the decision to prove fruitful.
