Four-star quarterback prospect Jake Allen (6-foot-3, 191 pounds, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) just got himself a decent invitation. Allen, who has been verbally committed to Florida and Jim McElwain since last July, was invited on Sunday to the semifinals of Nike's Elite 11 Quarterback Competition. Allen got the semifinal invite after competing in the Elite 11 Regional camp in Orlando, Fla.

"It feels good. [Getting an Elite 11 semifinals invite is] a goal I've been working for in the offseason and to have it come true, it's a cool feeling," Allen said via Bleacher Report."
If Allen is able to make the Elite 11 finals, he'll compete against some of the best high school quarterbacks from across the country to the Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oreg. in July. If Allen stays committed to Florida, the Gators quarterback situation is looking bright.
