RELATED: Aroldis Chapman throws very hard

When you're the best at what you do, it's easy to get bored and want to try new things—to see if you can add to reasons why you're the best. Not saying that Clayton Kershaw experienced this kind of thing against the Atlanta Braves but it certainly seems like it.
With Tyler Flowers at bat, tied 1-1 in the fourth inning, Kershaw decided (or unwittingly) unleashed a 46-mph eephus pitch, that Flowers looked like he had no idea how to handle.
At first glance, it appears to slip but if you pay attention, Kershaw pulls up in his delivery which makes it more likely he meant to do this.
The pitch was called a ball, even though it was clearly in the strike zone.
I can't wait to see what Kershaw pulls out of the hat next time he's bored enough to try a new (or old) pitch.
