Caldwell started working large-scale off-book gambling in Tampa in 2013, totally nearly $225,000 a month, according to the report. After being arrested and charged with bookmarking and running a gambling house, Caldwell reportedly posted $4,000 bond, continued partying and noticed a high demand for Molly (MDMA/ecstasy).
According to the report, the synthetic drug was legal in March, but by May, the time Caldwell got around to researching it, it was deemed illegal by the DEA. He then reportedly googled "MDMA-Molly-China" ordered less than $2,000 worth expecting a $178,000 profit and waited for the package to arrive.
A Tampa postal inspector reportedly flagged the package and a federal agent dressed as a UPS employee caught Caldwell red-handed.
Reche Caldwell played for the San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots and Washington Redskins over his career.
Caldwell's brother, Andre, won a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos last season.
