The Golden Nugget released over-unders for every FBS college football team in 2016. Some of them were questionable, of course, but few raised more eyebrows than the line for the Ohio State Buckeyes' over-under win total being set at 8.5.
Herby was not amused. When asked about how he felt about the number, Herbstreit responded with one word about Ohio State's chances of getting to that number.
Well, it is hard to predict Ohio State losing four games in 2016. Even with all of the talent they lost to the NFL Draft this year, most people would still expect a nine or ten win season at least.
An over-under line set at 8.5 is certainly an interesting bet, and it will be interesting to see if anything changes as the money starts to flow in on that one.
