Every year Tennessee hosts what they call their "Big Orange Carpet" event. It's meant for rising juniors and seniors and it's a day for those recruits to get a tour of the campus. It's also an opportunity to meet the staff, check out the facilities and of course get a great view of Neyland Stadium.

Here's a commitment from 6'6", 330-pound offensive tackle Jordan Tucker out of Roswell, Georgia:

That ended up making a total of seven commitments for the Volunteers on the day

Alontae Taylor is the only recruit in the class of 2018 and he's a 6'0", 180-pound athlete out of Manchester, Tennessee. Trey Coleman is a 5'11", 203-pound running back out of West Monroe, Louisiana. LaTrell Bumphus is a 6'4", 232-pound defensive end out of Savannah, Tennessee.

All of these commits are currently rated as three star recruits except for Taylor who has no ranking yet. It looks like the Big Orange Carpet is going to have to get rolled out a little longer next year if this trend continues because this event might have been better than any satellite camp at getting recruits.
