Former Baylor commit, speedy back set to make his decision in the next few weeks

Former Baylor commit Kameron Martin has been on the prowl for a new school to head to before the 2016 fall semester starts as he will be eligible as soon as he steps on campus. He visited Auburn on Friday and Saturday before heading to TCU on Sunday.

Martin was released from his Letter of Intent after coach Art Briles was suspended with intent to terminate and says he intends to make his decision on a new school by July 17. The dead period for recruiting starts tomorrow (Monday) and ends July 10.

The 5'10", 178-pound four-star all-purpose back was impressed with his visit to the Plains and the No. 7 all-purpose back in the country said that it was "amazing."

"They treated me like family ... The guys really want me and they feel like I can fit real good in their offense," Martin told AL.com's Wesley Sinor. "They feel like I can come in there and play running back. My thing is, I just want to go somewhere where I can compete at the highest level. The SEC is the highest level."

The Port Arthur, Texas native runs the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds. He rushed for 963 yards and six touchdowns to go along with 10 catches for 133 yards during his senior season at Memorial High.
