In two years with Auburn, Thomas-Thorton only appeared in one game. The college junior had been relegated mostly to the Tigers scout team in 2015, so his departure is not a huge hit for Auburn.
As for where he could head next: JUCO appears to be the option, as 247Sports is reporting that he is on his way to Northwest Mississippi Community College. After that, who knows where he could land, but he did have offers from Alabama, Florida State, and Georgia — among others — coming out of high school.
