According to the Herald-Dispatch, Tindal and a friend were playing poker with two men who they only knew by nicknames when one of the unknown men pointed a semi-automatic pistol and demanded the money.
He reportedly hit Tindal twice on top of the head before making off with $2,400 cash, $1,600 worth of cell phones and rental car keys.
Tindal played at Marshall before declaring for the draft, where he went undrafted, but was picked up by the Bengals.
