There are very few guys who can claim that they started one on team that ended up in the Finals and then signed with the other Finals team later in the season. Anderson Varejao is one of those guys after playing his first 11 and-a-half season in Cleveland before he was traded to Portland before the trade deadline in February. The Trail Blazers waived him and that's when the Brazilian big man signed with the Golden State Warriors in hopes of getting his first ring.

While the last team he was with might have blown a 3-1 lead it seems that he's still eligible to receive a ring since he started the season with the Cavs. However, he has more pride than that and won't take the ring anyway.
Varejao only averaged 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game in the playoffs, but ended up getting a lot more minutes after Andrew Bogut went down with an injury late in the Finals series. Good on Varejao not to cave in and take the ring even though he very well could have and a lot of other players would just for the sake of saying they won a Finals.
