The ACC has been dragging behind in television revenue compared to its Power Five conference cohorts, but that is about to change. The conference announced a deal with ESPN starting in 2019 that will see the launch of the ACC Network. While that might football a little bit, it's likely to have a much larger impact on other sports including basketball.

With the expansion of the conference's coverage comes an expansion in the league schedule for basketball.

While it's unlikely that we get UNC-Duke three times a year, we should see plenty of great basketball played in the country's best basketball conference. This may also mean less "buy" games where teams schedule high D-II or lower D-I teams to play at the beginning of the season as a "warm up" for the real season. Hopefully our wildest dreams come true and we get all the best basketball coverage we could ever want.
