ESPN released details from the Westgate Sports Book on Thursday, and the betting parlor reveals that Michigan has been the most popular team to bet on for the national title. Not only are they the most bet-on team, but they have had the most money bet on them as well.
The action on the Wolverines has moved them from 15-1 to 7-1 odds at the Westgate. This gives them the second best odds to win the national title, behind only Alabama at 5-1. Clemson, Ohio State, and Florida State follow, all currently at 8-1 odds.
Michigan is looking to build on their 2015 season, where they shocked a lot of people by going 10-3. Head coach Jim Harbaugh has been doing a lot to get the program's name in as many headlines as possible, and at least for now, it looks like it is working.

Of course, the preseason odds aren't always indicative of who will actually win the College Football Playoff. Remember when USC, Ohio State, Oregon, and TCU were all in the Top 5 of national title odds in the 2015 preseason?
Pepperidge Farms remembers, and it also remembers that none of those teams even made it into last year's Playoff.
