Green coached 13 years in the NFL, leading 10 for the Minnesota Vikings and three for the Arizona Cardinals. He finished his coaching career with a 113-94 record, but is most famous for his epic rant after a loss to the Chicago Bears in 2006.
Green registered a nearly flawless 15-1 record with the Vikings in 1998, pairing Randall Cunningham with wideouts Randy Moss and Cris Carter. That team fell in the NFC Conference Championship game to the Atlanta Falcons in overtime.
Green is also responsible for drafting standout wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, linebacker Karlos Dansby and defensive tackle Darnell Dockett.
Green also served as an offensive coordinator under Brian Billick and defensive coordinator under Tony Dungy.
He coached five years for Northwestern and three years for Stanford in the college ranks, compiling a 26-63 record.
