The media's pick to win the Big Ten might come as a surprise to you

Looks like someone disembarked from the Harbaugh Hype Train.

If you have been keeping up with college football media this offseason, then there is a really good chance that you have heard about Jim Harbaugh and Michigan. The Wolverines have been predicted to take another leap this season, with some even listing them as a national title contender. Even Vegas is giving Big Blue high odds to win their first national title since 1997.

Not so fast, says Cleveland.com. The website — which hosts its own media predictions for the Big Ten title — is pumping the brakes on the Harbaugh hype train, and is picking Ohio State to take home the Big Ten crown in 2016.

The only problem with that prediction? SB Nation site for Ohio State notes that in the six years of hosting the poll, Cleveland.com has predicted the correct winner exactly zero times.

Even though Ohio State lost a ton of talent to the 2016 NFL Draft, the Buckeyes are still expected to compete for the conference championship this season. They might even have a shot for a reason that a lot of people are ignoring: the Buckeyes will get Michigan at home to close the regular season.

And like last season proved, you should never count out Michigan State, as they are more than happy to spoil the Michigan-Ohio State party. The Big Ten West will likely have something to say about that, too.
