The college football world lost two greats this past weekend with the passing of Sam Foltz and Mike Sadler. The two punters for Nebraska and Michigan State, respectively, were killed in a single-car accident on their way to a wedding reception after attending a kicking camp in Milwaukee with LSU's Colby Delahoussaye.

They lost control of the car and it caught on fire after smashing into a tree. As Delahoussaye tells the story, the fire is actually what kept him alive. Colby's father, Dwayne Delahoussaye, described to Ross Dellenger The New Orleans Advocate the story he got from his son on how he was able to survive the crash and make it out alive.
"All he remembers is that the fire was burning his leg and that woke him up. He was knocked unconscious. The burning sensation revived him. That's all he remembers. He doesn't even know how he got out. He doesn't know where he crawled out of."
Somehow Delahoussaye escaped and called 9-1-1 on his iPhone. He reportedly has no memory of how this all occurred. Delahoussaye is expected to be back Baton Rouge this week. His second-degree burns are expected to heal within 10-21 days.
