What if I told you that neither Kentucky nor Duke are atop the recruiting rankings for the class of 2017? You might think it's Kansas or UNC in that case. You would still be wrong. It's another SEC team that sits atop the rankings and that's definitely somewhere the Auburn Tigers have not been in a very long time.

The Tigers just nabbed a top 50 commit in Chuma Okeke and already had five-star center Austin Wiley and four-star guard Davion Mitchell in their clutches. It looks like coach Bruce Pearl and his staff have stolen the top spot in the recruiting rankings for now as well.
Chuma Okeke ranks No. 45 in the country. He's versatile, plays with energy & impacts the game in a variety of ways. Has winning attributes.

Bruce Pearl still has some work to do to shore up the class, but that's a pretty great start for him and the Tigers. Before we know it he'll have this program humming like he did in Knoxville.
