The day and age of players playing through concussions is gone, and the NFL Players Association is looking out for its own.

Thanks to a new policy agreed on by the league, teams are forced to follow the NFL's concussion protocol, per USA Today. And if they don't, they'll face a fine ranging from $50,000 to $150,000 on the first offense.
Ensuing infractions are subject to a minimum of $100,000 fine, and any team seeking to gain a "competitive advantage" are subject to being docked draft picks.
Hopefully with this rule in place, we'll never witness another terrifying controversy like the one above, where quarterback Case Keenum clearly had a concussion, but was allowed to continue playing.
