This is Le'Veon Bell's reported reasoning for missing "multiple" drug tests

That's not an excuse.

According to Stan Savran of ESPN Radio, via Steelers Depot, Pittsburgh Steelers' Le'Veon Bell failed "multiple" drug tests due to him simply not showing up came down to the running back reportedly changing his phone number and not realizing he had been summoned for a test.

According to the league's substance abuse policy, three violations result in a four-game suspension, which is what was reportedly handed down to Bell.

He's expected to appeal the decision, but Bell is required to provide the medical advisor and medical director with an address and telephone number where they can be reached at all times, per the report.

If this is the real reason Bell missed the tests, it's hard to believe the back will win an appeal simply for not recognizing the proper process to alert the league.
