The untimely death of John Saunders shocked the sports world Wednesday morning, and information is beginning to trickle in.

According to TMZ, Saunders' wife found him unresponsive and not breathing Wednesday morning. Emergency responders were unable to resuscitate Saunders at his New York home around 4 a.m.
A detective reportedly found nothing suspicious, and there were no signs of foul play.
He had worked at ESPN since 1986, where he covered college football basketball and the NHL.
Saunders, 61 years old, leaves behind a wife and two children.
