On Friday, Missouri running back Trevon Walters was arrested, with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporting that the redshirt sophomore was taken in for "alleged stealing and two counts of fraudulent use of a stolen credit device".
Walters was suspended indefinitely following the arrest.
The fraudulent use of a stolen credit device is interesting, and how severe of a penalty Walters could potentially face will depend on the amount of money/value that was allegedly stolen. According to the Post-Dispatch, anything under $750 is a misdemeanor. However, over that amount and the charge could become a Class E felony.
Walters is a former three-star recruit according to 247Sports. He did not play last season due to a knee injury.
