There is no love lost between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines. That is, of course, no secret and it often overflows into the public sphere.

On Thursday evening, the two storied programs went back and forth on Twitter and, in retrospect, both positions made perfect sense.
First, Ohio State's football account tweeted a countdown of sorts in that only 100 days remained until the annual battle between the two teams. Then, Michigan responded with a very Jim Harbaugh-like retort.
The Buckeyes have thoroughly dominated the series between the two teams in recent years and, with Ohio State's recent track record of overall success, they can afford to look ahead a bit. However, Michigan's 10-win season in 2015 was its first successful campaign in a few years, and Harbaugh understandably wants his troops to be focusing on the opponent in front of them.
This year's version of "The Game" takes place in Columbus, putting Ohio State in the theoretical driver's seat, but many feel as if the Wolverines have the better roster, especially due to an overall edge in experience. The 2016 battle between Michigan and Ohio State could have national ramifications and, no matter what the Wolverines say, everyone is looking forward to it.
