Star USC player reportedly threw punches in practice on Tuesday

Smith-Schuster only had one reception for nine yards against Alabama.

It looks like the USC offense is frustrated after their 52-6 loss to Alabama on Saturday night.

According to the LA Times, star receiver Juju Smith-Schuster threw punches while scuffling with defensive players in Tuesday's practice.

A gratuitous celebration after a pass breakup had angered Smith-Schuster, USC's No. 1 receiver. Words were exchanged. Frustration boiled. Smith-Schuster and safety Ykili Ross began to scuffle, and much of the defense joined.

Smith-Schuster reportedly removed himself from practice before later returning.

We've got a mad football team right now," head coach Clay Helton told the Times. "Wish we could play today, to be honest with you. But it was ultra-competitive out here today, which is a good sign."

Smith-Schuster, a junior, only had one reception for nine yards in Saturday's game. In 2015, Smith-Schuster led all Power 5 receivers with 1,454 receiving yards. It's clear he was upset with his own and his team's performance against Alabama, and that anger spilled over into practice.

"When you get a lot of anger off of what happened on Saturday, disappointment with ourselves, I think you let emotions fly," USC offensive lineman Zach Banner said on Smith-Schusters behavior. "It's unacceptable. You're not allowed to do that with your teammates."

USC plays Utah State this upcoming Saturday. Seems like an easy win for the Trojans, but we will have to wait and see if they can harness their anger correctly and make it to Saturday.
