Schools are out there scheduling games years in advance for their non-conference schedule and Florida is no different. However, they made a rather special appointment with coach Jim McElwain's alma mater Eastern Washington. McElwain spent about 15 years there as a player and assistant coach starting in 1980 and ending in 1994.

The coach was pretty happy about it:
"This is pretty cool to be able to add Eastern Washington to the schedule. I spent 15 years at Eastern and it is such a huge part of my life. I met my wife, Karen, there and all of my children were born there. I have so many great memories of my time at Eastern and I still have friends there to this day."
This might also hint that Florida has serious long term plans for McElwain as well since that's pretty much an agreement that was made for him to see some EWU people he hasn't seen in a long time. Should McElwain still be at Florida then it will undoubtedly be a pretty special reunion for both parties.
