Welcome back to the AP Poll! Well, at least to the "others receiving votes" section.

After an eight-year absence, Colorado earned a vote in this week's AP Poll. The last time the Buffaloes received a vote was on September 28, 2008 after a 31-29 loss to Florida State. A loss the following week to Texas knocked Colorado out of the poll completely.
Let's look at some things that have changed since that 2008 vote:
- Colorado has moved to the Pac-12. They were in the Big 12 previously.
- If you include the interim Brian Cabral, Colorado is on its fourth coach since 2008.
- USC was the No. 1 team at the time in 2008. Eight years later, they are losing 52-6 to Alabama.
- George Bush was still president. Almost two full terms with President Obama have passed since then.
- "So What" by Pink was the No. 1 song on Billboard. That was sandwiched in-between several weeks of TI's "Whatever You Like" at No. 1.
- Both Star Wars and Star Trek have been revived since then
- Somehow, The Simpsons is still producing new episodes. However, the show Futurama has been revived and killed within that time-span
- Les Miles and LSU were the reigning national champions. Now Miles is on the verge of getting fired.
Hopefully Colorado can build on this success. It would suck to go another eight years without even getting a vote.
