Three star offensive tackle Montravious Richardson (6-foot-7, 300 pounds, Albany, GA) made some waves on Wednesday, as the big lineman announced that he was committing to Mississippi State.

Mississippi State was Richardson's only SEC offer, but he gets into the conference nonetheless.

At 6-foot-7, 300 pounds, Richardson definitely has the size to be a great offensive lineman. Obviously what needs to come next is developing skill. At the college level, he's not just going to be able to bowl over smaller lineman; he's going to need to improve his footwork and learn higher level blocking schemes.
Richardson is Mississippi State's 21st commitment of the 2017 class. They are ranked 20th in the nation over at 247Sports, however, that is only good enough for ninth in the SEC.
