Greg Hardy hadn't been able to make it back into the NFL this season despite his best efforts after a domestic assault case and up-and-down season with the Dallas Cowboys turned teams off from his off-field distractions.
Hardy likely won't be able to come back from this, as the talented, but troubled defensive end was reportedly arrested on Sunday for possession of a controlled substance, per NBCDFW.
No other information has been released on what he was arrested for. According to the report, he was still in jail as of Monday.

Hardy was convicted in a domestic violence case in 2014, and the charges were later dropped after an appeal. But the trial and Hardy's later defense of his actions has not made the defensive end many fans in the NFL.
He reportedly caused tension in Dallas' locker room after the outspoken player missed several team meetings last season.
Hardy had 35 tackles and six sacks in 12 games last year.
