New York Jets right guard Brian Winters wasn't exactly using his head when he suffered a concussion after landing a helmet-to-helmet hit on Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett Sunday.
In the game's second quarter, which the Seahawks won 27-17, Winters led with the crown of his helmet and launched himself at Bennett's helmet, landing a vicious head butt during a run by Matt Forte.
The hit knocked Bennett clean off his feet and sent a wobbly Winters to the turf on one knee. Winters got flagged 15 yards and got the worst of it physically, leaving the game with a concussion soon after. Bennett, meanwhile, took offense to the cheap shot and had to be restrained by teammates after getting in Winters' face.
"You don't wanna know," Bennett told reporters after the game when asked what he said to Winters. "(Winters) just came in likje the play was over and hit me in the head. I've got three daughters and I love playing with them. I don't want this to be the last thing I do."

Winters joins a long list of players who've injured themselves doing moronic things. In 1997, Washington Redskins quarterback Gus Frerotte sprained his neck after celebrating a touchdown run against the Giants by running into a wall. In 2014, Detroit linebacker Stephen Tulloch injured his knee in a game against the Packers while mocking Aaron Rodgers "discount doublecheck" celebration after a sack. And also in 2014, Chicago Bears Lamar Houston suffered a season-ending ACL tear while celebrating a sack against the New England Patriots.
