Clemson survives N.C. State scare thanks to clutch OT defense

That was a little too close for Clemson.

No. 3 Clemson (7-0, 4-0) got quite the scare from N.C. State (4-2, 1-1) and really only has itself to blame for the overtime 24-17 win. The Tigers turned the ball over four times despite being able to move the ball for 495 total yards, but got the most important turnover of the game on defense to end the game.

We got to overtime because N.C. State's kicker missed a crucial chip shot at the end of the regulation to potentially win the game for the Wolfpack, but this happened:

Defensive back Marcus Edmond had a chance to end the game in overtime after Clemson scored and did that on N.C. State's first play of overtime.

Woo boy! Clemson is not going to enjoy film sessions early this week.
