The college football world is changing as somehow Nick Saban is no longer the country's highest paid coach. Not only is Michigan's Jim Harbaugh the highest paid coach in the land, but Saban is far behind by about $2 million. Florida State's Jimbo Fisher is No. 5 on the list of highest paid coaches with $5.25 million, but his buyout is substantially larger than anyone else's. That could be huge come this offseason when LSU potentially goes after him to replace Les Miles.

There were reports that Fisher was in talks with LSU before public support saved his job last season. Fisher is also in the middle of the second year of an 8-year deal that's worth more than $40 million. According to his current contract, Fisher would owe the university $5 million if he were to leave before Dec. 31, 2016. That amount would drop to $3 million between then and Dec. 31, 2018. And it would be down to $1 million after that.
