ESPN (insider only) ranked the Top 10 coaches on the hot seat in college football, and the name at the top isn't going to be very surprising at all: Texas's Charlie Strong. There have already been reports that Strong is on his way out and that Texas is paving the way for Houston Tom Herman to become the next head coach, but as of now, Strong is still the Longhorns' coach heading into a game with Baylor.
The second name on the list might be surprising to some people: Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich. Helfrich became the head coach after Chip Kelly left for the NFL, and he had success in his first two seasons. Heck, Helfrich won 11-plus games each in his first two seasons, and he took them to the College Football Playoff final in his second season.

However, things have fallen quickly up in Eugene. The Ducks are out to a 2-5 start to the season, and the Ducks rank 126th (out of 128) in scoring defense. While most people didn't think of Oregon as a defensive team before (they were then), they sure as heck aren't now.
Still, it's not often that you see a coach with a 35-13 career record on the hot seat. It is definitely interesting to see him higher on the list than guys like Boston College's Steve Addazio or Notre Dame's Brian Kelly.
