WWE star Austin Aries was taking on the King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura at a live event on Wednesday, when the match had to be ended abruptly thanks to a stiff kick to the face.
Aries took the superkick before hitting the mat and rolling around. That's when the ref checked on him and threw up the X, signalling to the back that a wrestler was injured.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Aries was busted open and required stitches, which is why the match was stopped. Aries wasn't seriously injured and had to be helped to the back.
