Florida's offense the past few years has dug itself into more holes than it cares to climb out of with the way it's played. The Gator's offense leaves little to no room for error on defense as it's never been a unit that can quickly or consistently score.

That means the defense has had to either score or keep other teams nearly scoreless. That's a near-impossible task to ask for over the course of an entire season and expect good results. No matter who the coach has been, ever since Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer left, the offense has just been downright atrocious and here's the stat that will really make your jaw drop:
Under Will Muschamp, Florida averaged 24.7 points a game and so far under McElwain the offense has averaged 23.6 points a game. If something doesn't change about those numbers, especially since McElwain is supposed to be an offensive guru, then Florida will have a real problem on its hands.
