Many people believed that Washington was hugely snubbed in the first release of the College Football Playoff rankings at No. 5 and Texas A&M at the No. 4 spot. With the Aggies' loss this past weekend, there will be another team in the last playoff spot and it has to be undefeated Washington, right?

Apparently not, as FOX Sports' Stewart Mandel is predicting that the CFP committee will pick Ohio State over Washington.
And Mandel clarified that he doesn't actually think Ohio State deserves the spot, but that the committee has cornered itself into putting the Buckeyes that high.
The committee chose the Aggies last week because of their one loss being to Alabama and their strength of schedule, where the Huskies are sorely lacking. They have the worst SOS of all the Power 5 teams with their three out-of-conference opponents being Portland State, Idaho and Rutgers. Sure, one of those schools is a Power 5 school, but it might be the worst one available.
