The team announced on Tuesday that Georgia would be wearing their black uniforms for their next home game on Saturday against UL-Lafayette.
It will be the first time that Georgia has worn the black alternates since 2008, which has been a sore spot for some Bulldog fans thanks to Alabama initially taking a 31-0 lead at halftime of that game.

It had been rumored that Georgia was going to don the black jerseys once again at some point this season, and it looks like they have found the right game to do it.
Georgia has two games remaining on the regular-season schedule: this now blackout against a 4-5 UL-Lafayette team, and the annual rivalry game against Georgia Tech. Both games are at home, and an 8-4 regular season wouldn't look so bad for Kirby Smart after some fans panicked in the losses to Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
