The Big 12 has been considered the weakest conferences of the Power Five this year and it hasn't been featured in the top four of the College Football Playoff rankings once. That's likely to continue this week when the rankings go up on Tuesday with everyone in the top four winning this weekend.

According to Real Time RPI, the Big 12 now has a lower rating than a Group of Five conference in the American Athletic Conference. This is a conference that features Houston —- who got a nice upset win over Louisville earlier in the week —- Navy, Tulsa, Memphis, SMU, Tulane, South Florida, Temple, UCF and a few others.
A conference with those schools now ranks higher than one with the likes of West Virginia, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech and TCU just to name a few. So when Big 12 fans moan about how they deserve a team in the Playoff, you can tell them otherwise.
