The Cougars will have a lot of money to spend after failing to retain head coach Tom Herman, and because of that, a lot of coaches will definitely have interest in the job. ESPN even thinks that Power 5 head coaches could leave for the job, as they predict that West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen could be the next head man in Houston.
From ESPN Insider:
He gets to escape whatever you want to call his situation in Morgantown and go back to a city he loves and a program where he has won. Houston gets an exciting offensive mind with legit Power 5 credentials who can keep the team in contention every year.

While 8-2 (prior to Saturday) this season, Holgorsen has had a bit of an up-and-down time at West Virginia. A chance to go back to Houston, where Holgorsen was previously an offensive coordinator under Kevin Sumlin, could be tempting. Houston has talent already, is in a good recruiting state, and Holgorsen would likely have less stress at a job that pays more.
It all makes sense, now let's see if it happens.
