"Shaun Dion has a knee," Alabama coach Nick Saban said. "He's probably going to be out for the year. He'll be missed, but we have a lot of confidence in Rashaan (Evans), and he did a good job for us today."

Shaun Dion Hamilton, the team's junior linebacker, suffered a non-contact apparent knee injury toward the end of the first half.

He had to be helped off the field to the locker room and did not appear to be putting any weight on his leg.

Hamilton had 63 tackles and one interception heading into Saturday's game. He had registered an interception in the SEC title game.

Evans has rattled off 31 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season.
