A football player at Colorado Mesa University lauded for his strength has been charged with felony assault and could be expelled after police say he broke another man's jaw in a drunken incident.

According to a report in the Daily Sentinel, William Stau Milo, 22, was arrested last week on suspicion of second-degree assault at the conclusion of an investigation into the Oct. 29 occurrence.
The CMU Strength and Conditioning Facebook page at one time bragged about Milo's strength:
The 20-year-old victim, who has not been identified, told authorities that he was at a nearby house picking up his girlfriend when Milo, a defensive tackle who was ineligible this past season but was expected to rejoin the team next fall, started harassing his girlfriend.
"(The victim) stated out of nowhere the suspect punched him in the face causing him to nearly lose consciousness," an arrest affidavit stated. "(The victim) stated the suspect then walked away."
The victim claimed not to know Milo personally, but his girlfriend told police she recognized his picture from the Colorado Mesa football roster.
Police then questioned Milo and he denied any involvement, but they became suspicious when he changed his story several times. The report also states that police found a text message in which Milo states that he would further injure the victim if he did not drop the charges.

Milo was released on his own recognizance Thursday after an appearance in county court. He was given a restraining order against the victim and made to wear an ankle monitor to keep him from drinking.
CMU spokeswoman Dana Nunn said the university will conduct its own investigation before taking action.
"When he returns to campus we will talk with him, but also do our own investigation independent of law enforcement," she said. "At this point these are allegations and there's been no investigation done by the university."
Milo is a 5'10', 290-pound junior out of San Diego, Ca., was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference preseason defensive player of the year before the start of the season, but was deemed academically ineligible. As a freshman in 2013, he was voted the conference's co-defensive player of the year. He was also a team co-captain, according to CMU's Facebook page.
