When National Signing Day arrived, four-star prospect Terrance Lang was pledged to join Clay Helton and the USC Trojans for the next four years. Just days later, though, it appears that Lang has changed course and will, instead, head to Boulder to play college football for the Colorado Buffaloes.

While the details are somewhat murky at the moment, it appears that USC wanted to greyshirt Lang after over-signing. That seems to not have gone over well with the 6-foot-5, 278-pound defensive end, causing him to take another option with Colorado. Lang also held offers from the likes of Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M and in-state programs like UCLA, but the Buffaloes presented the ideal option and he made that choice with haste.
Lang ranks as a four-star prospect according to 247Sports and, in that same ranking, he qualifies as one of the top 50 players in the talent-rich state of California. While this is not a great look for USC on a number of levels, it does mean a big-time win for Colorado and the Buffaloes add to an already impressive recruiting haul.
