Highly coveted four-star cornerback Ken Montgomery Jr. from Tampa (Fl.) Hillsborough, told 247 Sports (subscription required) that while he enjoyed his weekend visit to Alabama, he's not ready to commit just yet.
He said he spoke to Saban, who "told me since they didn't get any cornerbacks last year and they are having some guys enter the draft after this season, they are going to need me to step up and take care of the DB spot."
But you can tell Montgomery was impressed.

The Alabama offer is certainly enticing, but the long (6-foot-2) and lean (155-pound) recruit for the class of 2018 has 29 scholarship offers from the cream of the crop of college football. In addition to Alabama, Ohio State, UCLA, Tennessee, USC, and Oklahoma are all vying for his services.
247 Sports has Montgomery Jr. listed as the No. 31-ranked cornerback prospect in the class.
